Tahe Zalal recalls officially falling in love with art for the first time in 1983 when she went on a field trip to the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh with her 4th grade class. Since then, she has lost count of all the galleries, museums, artists’ studios, and pop up art exhibitions she has visited. Professionally, she is the Outreach Conservator for NEDCC in Andover, MA, with over 17 years of experience in repairing art on paper. Until recently, she was the curator of Revolution Mill’s Central Gallery where she dropped a pin on Greensboro's expanding arts scene. She has served on the board of the Weatherspoon Art Museum and the NC Preservation Consortium, and now serves on the board of Preservation Greensboro. Among her favorite artists are Aaron Douglas, Jacob Lawrence, Winston-Salem native Ashley Johnson, and the thousands of Works Progress Administration artists of the early 20th century.
